Welcome
Our family-owned, 16-acre Napa Valley estate was first planted with grapevines in 1885. We’ve carefully studied the terroir and planted small blocks of the varietals best suited for our soil including Cabernet Sauvignon, Cabernet Franc, Petite Verdot, Merlot, Sauvignon Blanc, and even rare Sauvignon Gris. Whether enjoyed immediately upon release or after years in the cellar, our wines are crafted to express the purity of site and the personification of Napa Valley.
At their bare essence, our wines are composed of the soil, the vines, and the winemaking, capturing the experience and expertise of Mira Winemaker Gustavo Gonzalez in every bottle. In the past 25 years, Gustavo has worked with vineyards in many of the world’s most renowned wine-growing regions –Burgundy, Tuscany, Mendoza, and to nearly every corner of the Napa Valley and Sonoma County.
Famous for its unique soils and microclimates, the Napa Valley is where Gustavo has worked with close to 3,000 acres of exquisite vineyard sites, planting 15 different varietals. From the heights of Howell Mountain and Atlas Peak to the depths of Oakville, Rutherford, and Stags Leap on the valley floor, Gustavo’s approach is informed through his ability to comprehend these differing soil profiles and distinct microclimates. This is what enables him to produce such exceptional wines.
